Take some time at the beginning of the New Year to let go of the past and set intentions for the new. Explore how yoga can help move you into the new year feeling revitalized and energized. We will be doing some yoga and journaling about intentions and how to move forward with those intentions.

November 25, 4pm-5pm

This class takes you through the postures developed by Dr Loren Fishman in his research on yoga and osteoporosis. They include and build on the postures in the Therapeutic Yoga for Osteoporosis workshop. Participants do not need to have taken the workshop in order to attend and get benefit from the class. It is targeted to those already experiencing bone loss or who are concerned about bone health and will be beneficial whether the student is taking medication or not.

A Hatha yoga class appropriate to all levels and ages that incorporates stretches, strengthening, and gentle flows to increase mobility, flexibility, and strength. Props and modifications are offered to help individuals feel the full benefit of the pose. Meditation and breath work are included to reduce stress and improve feelings of equanimity.

This class will help you navigate the stresses of life and come into a better balance through focused yoga postures, breath work, and meditation. Each class also includes a short discussion on how to use your practice to gain inner strength and peace as well as counter the physical, neurological, mental, and emotional effects of stress. All experience levels welcome.

Yoga postures are linked together with breath creating the flow. Students are encouraged to investigate each pose for several breaths, allowing adequate time to make adjustments that help deepen their practice or align the physical body with their breath. Beginning poses are then linked together to create a flow that each student can take at their own pace, in tune with their breath.
